Casey and DR recently tied the knot at the Salisbury Train Station, and we here at Simply Southern Photography have enjoyed sharing their getting ready moments, first look moments, and ceremony with you! Their Salisbury Train Station wedding had everything from sunflowers to a screen door…but more on that later!
Their family formals took place just before the ceremony, and I loved how many choices there were around the train station for ”backdrops” – from garden gates to train tracks to brick walls, there’s a little bit of everything! I loved showing a bit of their wedding venue in the background, with the shapes of the branches coming down around them. Casey and her parents were first to photograph, and were perfect models.
I loved this image of DR and his mother. Wedding days are such a beautiful time for families, and I love photographing the mother of the groom and her son in such a sweet moment before the ceremony.
Meanwhile, the bridal party was having fun cutting up – and trying to stay warm! Check out the boots on the girls – such a cute pairing with the purple dresses!

Casey and her sister are so much fun, and I loved this sweet sister moment.
Her bridesmaids were incredible - and they were ready to JUMP! to show off those cowboy boots!
The bridesmaids all carried black and white pashminas with their bridesmaids’ dresses, and Casey had her own purple one to accent her dress and wedding colors.

But the highlight of the formals was certainly the great climb…the bridesmaids heading up to the top of the pillars!

It was totally worth it for something a little different than the standard run-of-the-mill bridal party portrait. Those girls..and guys!
… rocked it!
