Emily and Shane are all aglow! She’s moving into the third trimester, and they will soon have a whole new take on life (and a new boss – get ready for those 3 am feedings guys!)…what a joyful and fun time in a couple’s life.
You might remember them from a few years back when we held their engagement session at the NCSU JC Raulston Arboretum; we headed back there for maternity photos. The spark and connection between them undeniable as they start this new phase of their lives together. I love how beautifully they fall together when they cuddle, and how sweet they are as they talk and enjoy the session.
Emily’s baby bump is proof that you don’t have to wait until you’re 38 weeks along for a maternity session…earlier in the pregnancy is a great time to capture your bliss and show off that baby bump! As a mom of a preemie, I know how important it is to schedule your maternity session when you’re comfortable and ready – not by the weeks or months.
It’s always so fun to photograph couples in their journey, no matter how far along. The expectant months are so special, and all the emotions come together in a mix of joy…from excitement to nerves to awe. We know Shane and Emily are enjoying it – and Shane, don’t forget, flowers and a big bowl of ice cream will soothe any pregnant mom’s nerves!
We’re so excited to welcome baby into the world, and are looking forward to the newborn session. I can’t wait for those wrinkly toes, tiny fingers, and tiny toes!
