It’s time for another Fall family portrait sneak peek…this time coming to you with a generations spin at the JC Raulston Arboretum!
I’ve known this family since I photographed engagement and wedding portraits for C’s parents. They’ve been so sweet to share the beginning of their married life with me…and now the beginning of life as “mom and dad” (trust me, it changes life in so many ways you can never imagine, and you’ll never be able to imagine being without!).
For this session, they brought along C’s grandparents and uncle, and we were able to do a full family portrait. The family gets the whole crew together once every five years for professional portraits and I was honored to be chosen to document their story this year.
C loves his grandparents so much, and I love the comfort of his head against Grandma’s shoulder with the thumb in his mouth (yep, that’s a signature C move…). One thing she said to me as we walked through their session is, “I love people as they are…not forcing them to be something else.” Mrs. K, I love that about you. I love that you want your family just as they are, and your portraits showing the phase in their life – with or without the thumb in the mouth. 🙂
Of course…that’s not all that Grandma and family had from their portrait session…Mr C gave us some really sweet looks.
And he even cuddled up with a grin for his family.
Yep, that tickled Grandma!
And she loved every minute of it! I loved this sweet capture of him, mom, and dad…
I can’t explain it, but it’s just “them” to me…
I love this sweet, sweet family, and I am thankful that they allowed me to be part of their family story.
