Erica and Elliott’s wedding day started out at First Baptist Church on Highland in Winston-Salem. Her strapless wedding dress fit her so perfectly (remember her sweet and sassy bridal portraits?), and her bridesmaids helped her touch up her makeup (by Studio East of Charlotte) before the ceremony.
She had two sets of heels; one for the wedding and one for the reception. In fact, she even had two dresses! They were completely different and so pretty. I can’t wait to show you the reception dress in a future post!
Erica wasn’t the only girl who was sweet and sassy – one of her flower girls kept me laughing with her sweet and sassy style!
The groom passed the time before the wedding by playing piano in the old chapel while one of his groomsmen kept him company.
One of my favorite parts of First Baptist Church on Highland is the front – the bright red doors and stained glass window are so striking. I just love the architectural style of the older churches in Winston Salem – they’re so fun to photograph!
They had a string quartet for the ceremony, and it accented their traditions perfectly. They had a simple but sweet ceremony that focused on them and their faith, officiated by two pastors.
Her father escorted her down the aisle as she carried a bouquet made by her family. Her wedding gown by David’s Bridal and her veil (made by her family) were so pretty against the pink pop of color that the flowers gave.
Congratulations, Erica and Elliott! Coming soon…your formals and wedding reception blogs. 🙂
