It’s time for Ashley and Brett’s Wait Chapel wedding sneak peek! From our first meeting, to engagement pictures, to bridal portraits, I’ve truly enjoyed getting to know Ashley and Brett. They are a sweet couple with a lot of drive, determination, and love for each other.
Brett proposed at Reynolda Hall on Wake Forest University’s campus in Winston Salem, and so on their wedding day it seemed more than appropriate to photograph not only Wait Chapel, but Reynolda Hall as well. The blue skies soon gave way to a little drizzle to bless Brett and Ashley with good luck on their wedding day. No worries, though – it cleared up by the time we were ready to head to the Millennium Center for one heck of a good time.
Her gown from Anjolique’s Bridal in Huntersville was gorgeous! I loved the swirl of this light fixture and had to get that dress up in the air!
Her shoes were a perfect pair with the dress and the rhinestones on the flower detail sparkled so prettily.
The bridal and bridesmaids’ bouquets by Amy Lynne Originals were elegant and simple, just like Ashley wanted.
Her bridesmaids dabbed off the ends, and were ready to go…but we had one unique photograph to take care of first!
You see, this was the year of weddings for Ashley and Brett – so many of their friends tied the knot in 2011! Two of those were her bridesmaids and little sisters in her sorority – so they grabbed their dresses and struck a pose with Ashley outside Wait Chapel pre-wedding!
Once Ashley was safely tucked back in the bridal room by her wedding coordinator (Becca of Rebecca Rose Events), Brett looked out on the day and forward to the ceremony.
And then it was time! Ashley and her bridesmaids started down toward the ceremony…
What a beautiful bride! Ashley was escorted by her father down the aisle, with a big smile on her face.
Then came the vows …
The sand ceremony in lieu of a unity candle…
And a flower to each of the mothers.
Then it was time to head into their new life together as husband and wife!
Congratulations, Ashley and Brett! More to come soon!
