Pre-Ceremony: Ashley and David, Kernersville Wedding

We hope you are enjoying the sneak peeks from Ashley and David’s wedding in Kernersville. We headed from the getting ready to pre-ceremony photographs…which often means family formals, but for Ashley and David, it also included a few extra special things.

Kernersville Wedding Chapel Ceremony

Just before the ceremony, Ashley wanted to see her dad for the first time since she’d gotten dressed for the big day.

The moment a dad sees his little girl on her wedding day is always incredibly emotional, and he was stunned speechless!

What a sweet father-daughter moment just before the ceremony…

There wasn’t a dry eye in sight…

And just before we lightened the mood, we asked her dad to lean in and give Ashley some advice for the wedding day.

We never know what our dads say to their brides during this time, but I love the smile it puts on Ashley’s face!

Of course, after all that emotion, we had to dance it out…

Soon after, we put a twist on the new tradition of a door separating the bride and groom by placing Ashley and David on opposite sides of the pillars in the sanctuary. Instead of a first look, this is a way for the bride and groom to talk a few minutes before the wedding – without actually seeing each other. Afterwards, it was time for a sweet and fun photograph of the couple…

Yep, that’s Iron Man!
