High Point Wedding: Sarah and Matt’s Ceremony

We recently blogged Sarah and Matt’s sneak peek from their High Point wedding in early March…and now it’s time to share more of their beautiful wedding day!

wedding dress beaded bodice

Her dress was stunning – as you saw in her gorgeous bridal portraits (photographed at High Point University).

I loved the simplicity of the silhouette coupled with the beading detail on the bodice and train.

hot pink wedding shoes

Her hot pink shoes added a color splash to the day, as pink was the accent color for the wedding!

tiara and hankerchief

The tiara matched her gown perfectly, and as her “something old,” Sarah chose to carry her mother’s hanky…and we would all need it by the end of the day! There were many happy tears shed!

hot pink wedding bouquet

Sarah’s bouquet carried over the hot pink accent color, and the bridesmaid’s bouquets were a perfect match in solid white with hot pink ties.

Her sister prepped the bouquets, and soon it was time for Sarah to put on her wedding gown!

bride tank top

What a beautiful, blushing bride.

bride hoodie

And, I loved her “Bride” hoodie – blinged out in rhinestones!

With a little help from her mom, Sarah was ready to get dressed for her big day.

mom zipping bride's dress

Seeing the bride in her gown for the first time on her wedding day is always one of my favorite parts of the day…watching her mom and bridesmaids help her get ready, and then the joy and excitement on everyone’s face as it all finally comes together and becomes a reality!

mother daughter bride wedding day

What an incredibly special moment between a mother and daughter…we are so lucky to be a part of such a beautiful time.

One last adjustment…and then it was time to touch up makeup and hair before adding the veil.

bride in mirror

Sarah’s getting ready images were captured at her home, and I loved the mirrors that hung in her bedroom.

They provided the perfect opportunity to capture her braided and woven updo as well as her expression as she touched up the details.

Her sister was helpful in so many ways – from the veil to keeping Sarah laughing, I loved how sweet and caring their relationship is.

bridesmaids silver shoes pink

Her bridesmaids were perfect in pink, with silver shoes of their choosing.

I loved that they had a quirky sense of humor (just like me!) and were up for anything!

What a gorgeous train and dress…Sarah, you were stunning!

mother and father of the bride

Your parents were impeccable as well – now we see where you got it from! What a beautiful couple.

dad waiting for bride

Sarah’s dad waited at the bottom of the stairs to see her for the first time in her dress on her wedding day.

I love that her sister is watching over her from the top of the stairs…

What a smile! A proud father and glowing bride…

Just a few minutes away, her groom was getting ready at the church (Hayworth Chapel on High Point University’s campus) …

He and the groomsmen took their minds off their nerves by watching the game.

Let’s just say we all had a chat about the best teams in the ACC… 😉

Matt watched out the window as the guests started to arrive…

And the pastor said a prayer with the groomsmen before the ceremony.

Finally, it was time to get married!

tussy mussy charm

Each mother carried a tussy mussy with a beautiful silver charm, engraved with a monogram and the wedding date. I loved this keepsake idea.

pew markers pink rose

The pew markers were elegant and accented with pink ribbon, featuring hot pink roses.

program attendant wedding

Sarah’s aunt was the program attendant, and she welcomed each guest with such a sweet smile.

The ushers seated each of the guests with grace and hospitality…

And the guests filled the pews!

bride and father

Sarah and her father were ready to walk down the aisle – the doors opened…

…there was a huge smile on both Matt and Sarah’s faces.

I love capturing the groom’s face as his bride walks down the aisle to meet him at the altar – so incredible.

Sarah’s bridal train flowed so beautifully down the aisle.

A sweet and simple ceremony that joined them as husband and wife, and they were ecstatic!
