Cutting the cake can be a challenge for brides and grooms! So how exactly are you supposed to cut a multi-tier cake from the bottom layer?
First, take a quick moment to touch base with your photographer and make sure that you are cutting it from the side and angle they prefer for the photographs. When it’s time to cut the cake, there’s a method to the madness. The easiest way to cut your “tasting piece” is to cut a small piece from the edge of the bottom layer. This way, you won’t have to cut deep under another layer and try to wedge the piece out. Remember, the first piece is just for a small taste (or smash!) – a little bit goes a long way.
