We posted a sneak peek of Erica and Josh’s wedding a few weeks ago, and now we are ready to share more from their rustic wedding day!
Erica’s jewelry was simple and sweet. It accented her dress perfectly, and I loved this photograph of the jewelry on her ring bearer’s “pillow” – a tree branch section decorated with burlap and ribbons!
Her dress was stunning!
The girls had an awesome time getting ready – and she’s so lucky to have talented friends! Her hair and makeup was taken care of by her cousin and soon-to-be sister-in-law…and it was beautiful.
It was a little crazy in there…but crazy good!
The bridesmaids all received incredible hand-made jewelry crafted by Erica’s cousin, and it matched the dresses perfectly.
Even the floral designs were a family event! Erica’s aunt created beautiful bouquets and this adorable flower girl hair piece.
Erica’s mom helped get her daughter, L, dressed for the day – and I loved this candid of her looking down lovingly at her granddaughter.
She’s such a beautiful baby (and much happier when she’s not in a flower girl dress)!
Finally, it was time to get that wedding gown on! Josh’s mom helped manage the veil and was all smiles as she looked at her almost daughter-in-law’s hair and makeup.
And this is why – what a stunning bride!
Erica’s mom had a sweet photograph of herself on her wedding day – it showed Erica’s grandmother helping her mom get ready to walk down the aisle. We re-created that image for Erica and her mom so that they could have generational images that show the generations of brides on their wedding day. I love this sweet, touching tribute to her family.
Once we got the garter in place…
She was almost ready, with a little help from her maid of honor…
and her groom’s mother…
A few last-minute touch-ups, we were ready to head to the ceremony!
But, first, we needed to see the other most important man in a bride’s wedding day (and life)…her dad…
It was one of the sweetest, most touching moments I’ve seen between a father and his daughter on her wedding day – and I love that he made her laugh!
So, what were the guys doing during all this time?
Yep, you guessed it. 🙂
We did get them to stay in one place long enough for a few photographs…
That is one lucky little girl – her daddy loves her so very much!
Coming soon…more sneak peeks from Erica and Josh’s wedding day. Simply Southern Photography loved every minute, and we can’t wait to share it with you…
