Family Photo Session – Christmas Portraits

I’ve been so blessed to watch this family grow from their very first maternity portraits. It’s amazing to be a part of the history of a family by documenting their journey. Their home is always decoratedĀ so beautifully, and I loved the colors of the front porch with the color scheme she chose for their clothing.

Their Christmas photography session was so much fun…I loved photographing formal images as well as being able to photograph some fun imagesĀ of the family just relaxing and playing together.

Since their oldest’s birthday is during the holiday months, it made sense to create a session that captured him at this age as well as the whole family for Christmas.

Their boys did such a great job with the family portrait – it’s not always easy to sit still in dressy clothes!

Their sweet oldest, W, was quite the GQ model – he’s growing up so much, and it shows! He loved pretending to photograph me (with a ratchet strap “camera”) and kept me smiling throughout the session.

Their youngest, C, is a handful of hilarity! He brought out the full belly laugh, and kept giggling and just having an all out ball. He has the sweetest spirit.

His giggles resulted in one of my favorite images of all time. I love this belly laugh full of joy! It embodies childhood and Christmas for me.

We took a walk around a local pond, and the boys were all smiles through the cold. They loved looking into the water from the pier, and cuddled up perfectly for their “brothers” image.

Dad took them for a break to skip a few rocks…

…I adore this image – it is such a sweet motherhood moment.

Mom and Dad braved the cold to carve out some time in the session for just them – I loved this idea! Family sessions are so much fun, and so beautiful, but it’s also incredible to celebrate the love that the parents have for each other.

What a fabulous session! Thank you for continuing to have me as part of your story.
