Wendy and Josh tied the knot, and now we can share her beautiful bridal portraits from Old Salem…
She was a beautiful bride, and she lights up the room when she enters…so it seemed fitting that her images should be full of laughter and light as well!
Wendy brought along a few helpers, and they were amazing at making sure we had everything just so…
My favorite part of her dress is the back – the lace bodice is stunning, and adds so much detail and elegance to the dress.
Her mother made her bouquet for the bridal session, and it was just perfect for Wendy. There is so much talent abounding in her family!
Some of my favorite portraits from the day are her casual, candid images…
The ones where she was laughing with her family, and didn’t know I was still photographing her…
And where I could catch her in a moment of silent reflection.
What a gorgeous, intricate dress, with beautiful lace – made even more beautiful by the bride wearing it!
One word I would use to describe Wendy is “happy” (or “smile”). When I was planning her bridal portraits, I reflected on how thoughtful she is and how much she cares for those around her. I wanted her bridal portraits to reflect the more thoughtful, peaceful side of her personality as well as the boundless energy and happiness she shares. I loved this bright yellow barn behind her for a brighter, smiling image.
Last, but not least, we set everything for a rustic image at the barn – with help from her mom to make sure the train was just perfect!
This image is one of my favorites from the session – I love how the lace and softness of Wendy’s bridal image contrasts against the darkness of the wood and barn behind her. What a gorgeous bride!
